The Birmingham Chess Club meets every Tuesday between 7 and 10pm from September to June at the Walker Memorial Hall, Ampton Road, Edgbaston Birmingham, B15 2UH.

Founded in 1851, Birmingham Chess Club has a distinguished history. Previous members include Bernard Cafferty, Peter Gibbs and Tony Miles (Britain's first grand master). Simultaneous displays have been given at the club by Blackburne, Tal, Reshevsky and Gligoric amongst others. The club has been a winner of the BDCL Division 1 Championship 10 times and has won the Terrill Trophy 5 times.

The club closes for the summer on Tuesday 27 June 2017 and will re-open for the 2017-18 season on Tuesday 5 September 2017.
